Hi,

I am trying to the WTV-MR working, but it fails to retrieve series information:

WTV-MetaRenamer v0.17
... found 'Name' at index 0
... found 'Erstelldatum' at index 4
... found 'Untertitel' at index 196
... found 'Sendungsdatum' at index 258
... found 'Sendungsbeschreibung' at index 259
... found 'Aufnahmezeit' at index 260
Processing Star Trek - Das nchste..._TELE 5_2012_05_16_18_07_00.wtv
... title is 'Star Trek - Das nchste..._TELE 5_2012_05_16_18_07_00.wtv'
... failed to retrieve series information from TvDB
... no series ID retrieved for this recording

actually I am nut sure, if it really connects to TVDB as other series can't be found either:

Processing Star Trek - Deep Space Nine_TELE 5_2012_07_26_19_11_20.wtv
... title is 'Star Trek - Deep Space Nine_TELE 5_2012_07_26_19_11_20.wtv'
... failed to retrieve series information from TvDB
... no series ID retrieved for this recording

Processing Star Trek - Deep Space Nine_TELE 5_2012_07_26_19_11_20.wtv
... title is 'Star Trek - Deep Space Nine_TELE 5_2012_07_26_19_11_20.wtv'
... failed to retrieve series information from TvDB
... no series ID retrieved for this recording

I tried with this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Data>
<Series>
<seriesid>-71470</seriesid>
<SeriesName>Star Trek - Das nchste...</SeriesName> </Series>
</Data>

but still had no success.

Any ideas where to continue?

Hi

So the problem seems to be that the script is not getting the proper title back from the WTV file. It *ought* to be extracting a simpler string, like "Star Trek - Deep Space Nine", and *not* the entire filename.

If you right-click on the recording and choose Properties and then click on the Details tab, you should see a list of items in two columns - Property and Value. Underneath the column headings will be a section heading - Description - followed by the German for "Title". What is the *value* for that Property? What does Windows list as the German for "Title"?

Thanks.

Philip

Hi,

"Title" translates to "Titel" in the WTV files. As I had a different file's properties open, I used "name". The scrupt now works much better, but still not perfect.

For the above mentioned series the title is "Star Trek - Das nächste..."

and the "Sendungsbeschreibung" continues with

Datas Tag ...Jahrhundert Science-Fiction-Serie, USA 1987, 178
Folge 85

"Datas Tag" should be the "Folgenname", maybe Subtile

"...Jahrhundert" is the rest of the title

"Science-Fiction-Serie, USA 1987" maybe subtile ("Untertitel") and year ("Jahr")

"178" is the total number of episodes and "Folge 85" translates as "Episode 85"

This gives a lot of errors in line 2679, 2680, 2688, when trying to work on Data.Episode

Maybe I should record a short moment of that series and provide the file somewhere...

Thanks, M.
